And look Lizzy has come to assist , quick Lizzy hold my feet I'm going in , see the ripples !!!!!!!
(By the way swimming lessons progressing well and have now reached ankle deep in bath stage , a milestone for cats apparently and can be seen as distinct from the , not sure I should mention this, the "I fell in the bath while bouncing around the edge " episode . ) Posted by Hello

Here I am about to do a bit of serious fishing , I mean there are plenty , nobody will notice one or two or three missing will they ................. Posted by Hello

Wednesday 28th by Bob

Thank goodness Chris is home, he went off to Inglewood with Uncle Jim for the weekend , by the way where is the fish you promised .........Jim.
I forgot the PC password and had to just casually cruise the computer at login time today to re-discovered it ,(note to self , scratch password into back of leather lounge suite).
Bogie, impressed with the grasshopper catch, none of them here .
We had another weigh-in this morning and I am now 7lb 1oz.....wey hey hey now that's what I call a growth spurt .
Last night we got up at 1am and beat up a red mouse we found in the toy box, it makes a very nice squeek when you really jump on it and it's really loud that time of the day what with the total silence out here in the country . Unable to explain mutterings from Chris and Reena,  isn't everyone up and playing at 1am ????????????

My weekend by me

Captains log, Star date 17704.....whoops sorry thought I was somewhere else.

Slept in with the oldies but made  sure I got a snack first , my skills are improving in this area every day , have almost perfected the patheic look from the floor and squeaky "I'm starving " meow.

Some idiot uncovered cat food belonging to Randall (deceased) and tried serving  up a "sample packet" of some dried rubbish, in protest I ate some and then vomited on the expensive hall rug, don't expect I'll be having that problem again. Helped it along with a nice snack of grass but hey you gotta do what you gotta do.

Helped with cleaning up the garage by practicing pathetic look (see above) and managed to elicit four hugs , man this is getting easier .

We had the big weigh-in and I am now 6lb 7oz a whole 1oz heavier than Lizzy I'm sure this will assist in the flying tackles I am now hitting her with when she least expects it ..........

Is that chicken I can smell cooking  ?????  .............. have to run ......

Bobs week

Started well with the capture of my first Myna bird , these aren't natives and are breeding like rabbits so they do not fall under the catch and release policy . But they are big , close up .
Chris had to go to Wellington for two days so we had his half of the bed , brilliant, minor complaints about food but will make a fuss when he returns to see if the tinned fish re-appears. (We know a push over when we see one)
We have been having a lot of fun hurling at the car when it arrives , this is a GUARANTEED way to get picked up and a have a cuddle !! (Note to self .Owner training proceeding according to plan) .
Only six sleeps till Uncle Jim arrives with fish , hint , no pressure .

Supplement to weekend log

Disaster struck on Sunday evening when the mouse we had placed for drying and future consumption on the column heater in the bedroom was discovered and removed. We could tell by the smell that it was almost ready and could not understand the frenzy of furniture moving and people peering into the dark crevasses of the room.

Bob......disappointed but w'll find another.

Bobs weekend

Started well on Saturday with the slaying of rat number one during early morning meander , delivered to bedroom to show waking family , they must have been impressed because it vanished , assume they ate it, hey what about saving me the tail ? Followed up with something feathery but the house "catch and release" policy swung into action , will track down later when nobody is looking .
Nice and warm outside so did some serious sleeping.
Further cat door lessons for sister,I think she's got it now although I'm not sure leaping through and cracking skull on way is necessarily the best method long term . Will keep an eye out for brain damage

Friday 9th

Assisted Lizzy with “how to use the cat-door” instructions by going in and out to show her how to do it, but sometimes I wonder if there might have been a bit of oxygen starvation at birth with her . We will get there eventually.

Assisted with installation of garden lamps and this will be bonus for those night time hunting expeditions.

Monday pm

Found that bird again, you’ll have to hide them better than that…………………. I suggest setting in concrete.

Lizzy shredded a pack of serviettes, brilliant mess, and those flash designer ones too

My weekend by Bob

Got up early and went looking for bird but was unable to get decent run at anything in the dark. Came back for a sleep but rudely awoken by Jehovah’s Witnesses pounding on the door, played cute but sized them up for anything dead they might have about their person. Looked them up on the web when Chris wasn’t looking. Unimpressed with no birthday and Christmas policies don’t think I’ll sign up.
Found another bird later and left it at front door to “impress”, it vanished ? But found it later in paddock so brought into the bedroom to REALLY impress, vanished again and I’d swear I could smell it in the compost bin .
Sunday, helped around the back by putting dirt back in holes that seem to be getting made there, bit of trouble avoiding the spade, wheel barrow makes a passable dirt box.
Hid mums cheque book to show who is boss, very funny watching her look for it.
Fyona came for dinner but she smelt of something else furry.
Mince for dinner, I prefer the fish actually.

This is me and my sister Lizzy Posted by Hello

Bob’s posting for Thursday 1 July 2004

Spent day searching for that bird but found another similar one and invited it in to play. Surprised when it didn’t want to. Grabbed it by the foot and took it around the back of the bed anyway. It’s what cats do so it you are a bleeding heart liberal sign out now this is going to get messy. The fact that I’m fitted with a reflective collar a bell and every bird repellent known to man counts for nothing when it comes to a million years of cat cunning. Anyway gory details omitted for you poor sad town cats oh god that was tasty ……I had NO idea. My sister bless her little heart spent the day unravelling then shredding a roll of toilet paper. Mixed bird remains with toilet roll remains , and watched them get sucked up the vacuum cleaner . The blame fell elsewhere, this is brilliant. .Note to self never do anything if you can’t shift the blame elsewhere and use the phrase “it was like that when I got here”.
Slept deeply

Posting for 1 July....early

Woke with a start when I realised it was nearly light and I hadn’t done my dawn patrol , purred especially loudly in Chris’s ear and slipped away ..........note to self must remember to turn PC off after use, there have been suspicions raised in the house hold over usage, need to remain in deep cover ....
